Frozen Yogurt Peach Popsicles Healthy Summertime Snack
During the summer it’s hot. Especially in Florida. There are days I have to drag myself into the kitchen to only get even hotter cooking over the stove. These Frozen Yogurt Peach Popsicles are Healthy & Delicious on those hot summer days.
The name basically describes the ingredients — peaches & yogurt with the addition of lemon juice, almond milk and a little sweetener.
I would just like to note: This is a fabulous smoothie / shake if you stop before the freezing part.
Having 6 children home all day long during the summer can be a bit challenging especially when you are trying to work and they are ALWAYS hungry and wanting to snack. Since I had an abundance of fresh peaches from the farmers market I decided to make an extra batch of my morning breakfast smoothie.
I then froze the extra smoothies in popsicle molds to make healthy summer snacks for the kids.
Frozen yogurt popsicles made with fresh fruit don’t just taste great, they are good for you too! You can use just about any fruit and/or Fresh berries Fruits are some of the most powerful disease fighting foods, they are high in vitamin C and antioxidants.
I love how colorful these popsicles are without adding food coloring and how naturally sweet these are instead of added corn syrup you find in Popsicles at the store.
Although fruit has a natural sweetness, I suggest you adjust the agave or honey to your taste before freezing them.
I bought my freezer pop maker from Progressive last year on Amazon, I am linking to it here for all of you who asked where I bought it.
It’s after lunch and the kids are hanging out pool side today so I am surprising them with these popsicles. It will be a great refreshing snack. Needless to say, these are delicious and healthy! I loved being able to feel good knowing exactly which ingredients go into these. AND, the popsicles cost sooooo much less than buying them at the store – perfect!
